Irene L. Ray

Irene L. Ray, 98, of Anderson, passed away peacefully in her sleep December 28, 2018.
She was born on November 7, 1920 in Atcheson County, Missouri the daughter of Chester and Ann Marie (Gorn) Lewis and was a 1939 graduate of Anderson High School. She was an artist who loved to paint whatever she thought was pretty. She also enjoyed sewing, crafting, traveling, camping, fishing and lunch at Bobber's Cafe. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 sons, John (Tonya) Ray and Pete (Joyce) Ray, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Frank L. Ray Sr., 2 daughters, Penelope Peterson and Mary Capshaw, and son, Frank L. Ray Jr, 4 brothers and a sister.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 10 AM at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 5-7 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army.
