Ellen M. (Potter) Martin, 91, of Westport passed away Tues., Dec.25, 2018 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late David C. Martin.
Born in Tiverton, RI, daughter of the late George and Ethel (Chace) Potter, she lived in Westport for over 65 yrs. She retired from Martin's Cheese Co. in 2008. She enjoyed cooking and casinos but mostly time with her grandchildren.
Survived by 2 sons: David C. Martin Jr. and Alan S. Martin both of Westport; 2 daughters: Susan C. DeJesus and husband Christopher Bennett and Deborah A. Ferry and husband Michael, all of Westport; a brother: Richard Blacow of Dartmouth; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Gary T. Martin and grandmother to the late Holly L. Martin.
Funeral services: Monday, Dec. 31, 2018 at Potter Funeral Home at 9AM followed by a Mass at St. George Church, Westport at 10AM.
Calling hrs: Sunday, Dec. 30, 3-6PM.
Burial in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
