Whitman – Jennifer L. (Doyle) Astuto 42, a lifelong resident of Whitman, died Friday December 28 in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston. She was the beloved wife of Michael J. Astuto.
Born and raised in Whitman, she was the daughter of Edward and Leslie (Joy) Doyle of Whitman and a graduate of Whitman-Hanson, Class of 1994. Jennifer furthered her education earning her Associate Degree from Massasoit Community College and had worked as a Travel Consultant.
Jennifer had been a volunteer for the local Meals on Wheels program. She loved gardening and the beach, but her greatest joy came from the time spent with her family and following the many activities of “her girls”.
In addition to her husband Mike and her parents Ed and Leslie, she is survived by her loving daughters, Brooke and Morgan Astuto, her brother Mark Doyle and his wife Jeanine and her sister Laura Preisser and her husband Andrew. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Marcia Astuto as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and her nieces and nephews.
Her services will be held Friday January 4 at 8:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58@ the rotary) Whitman, flowed by a funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Visiting hours will be on Thursday January 3 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
