Christine Smith, 81, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Pruitt Health in Ocilla, Georgia.
Memorial graveside services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Arbor Cemetery in Ben HIll County. Friends and family are invited to attend.
Mrs. Smith was born December 2, 1937, in Aberdeen, Mississippi, to the late George & Ludie Martin. She lived in the community all of her life and was a clerk and cook for convenience stores.
She is survived by her children: Thelton Monroe Smith, III of Albany, Joseph Martin Smith & Debbie of Hahira, Calvin Martin Smith of Ocilla, Janie Ethridge & Bill of Ocilla, Alice Sue Fitzgerald & Jim of Albany , Angel Daine Ross & Kyle of Ocilla and Constance Hope Shealey of Ocilla; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Nancy Cato of Fitzgerald and Sherry Joiner of Wray and a brother, David Martin of Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thelton Monroe Smith, Jr.; two brothers and two sisters.
