New Bedford – Courtney Gomes, age 26, of New Bedford passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the daughter of Donna Souza and Michael Gomes.
She was born in New Bedford and had been employed as a hairdresser as well as a home health care aide. Courtney was a loving, caring mother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and with her friends. She also loved her time spent crafting and scrapbooking.
She is survived by her mother, Donna; father, Michael; daughter, Avery Grace Rezendes; son, Noah Michael Rezendes; grandmother, Virginia Gomes; uncle, Randy Souza; aunt, Cheryl Jackson; cousins, Jarred Souza, Randy Souza, Neil Gomes, Mandy Gomes, Krystal Souza, Ryan Souza, Jacob Jackson, Damian Souza and Faleisha Tirado. She was also the granddaughter of the late Jeanne (Marques) Souza, the great-granddaughter of the late Adolph Lacolme and niece of the late Elsie Gomes.
Courtney’s visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 30th from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home with a service to be held during this time.
