Alice Beverly (Bruns) MacDonald, 84, of Fort Myers, FL and formerly of Gorham and Milan, NH, passed away peacefully and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 15, 2018. Alice was born on May 23, 1934 the daughter of the late Maynard T. and Nellie E. (Urquhart) Bruns. Alice moved to Gorham at age 5 with her family and was a resident of Gorham and Milan before moving to Florida 10 years ago for warmth and sunshine. Alice was passionate about reading her Bible, her country and life itself. She also loved reading, sewing, knitting, quilting, counter cross stitch, painting, rockhounding, gardening, decorating cakes, making dolls, homemade cards and she loved to share her knowledge and help others learn. She was a leader of the Brownies, Girl Scouts, Sunday School, and Awana Youth Groups.
Members of the family include her children Janice Sullivan of Ft. Myers, FL, Laurie (Stephen) Pilcher of Groton, NH, Perry MacDonald of Milan, NH, Andrew (Jennifer) MacDonald of New Hampton, NH and niece Kathy (Paul) Robitaille of Gorham, NH. 12 Grandchildren: Lauren (Bambi), Adam, Autumn, Amy, Douglas, Kellen, Jacob, Sara, Mandy, Nicholas, Bridgette, Emily, Elle. 18 Great Grandchildren: Jace, Finley, Cruz, Phoebe, Weiland, Elliot, Riley, Mackenna, Macie, Lyla, Audrey, Caleb, Addison, Wyatt, Christopher, Robert, Ryder, Adia.
A Celebration of Alice’s Life will take place on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11am at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham, NH. Interment will be in the Mt. Hayes Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway East, Cape Coral, FL 33909 or to the Heritage Baptist Church, 13 Exchange Street, Berlin, NH 03570. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin and Gorham, NH.
