Antonio DeMiranda (93) of Brockton died December 23rd surrounded by his family in the West Acres Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Aurora DeMiranda and husband of Ecilda DeMiranda.
He was born in Nossa, Brava, Cabo Verde son of the late Manuel and Felesmina DeMiranda. Antonio worked in the shipping industry in Cape Verde. He was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church and loved to play bisca and was a member of the Bisca social club of New Bedford.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Francisco Miranda of Brockton, 4 grandchildren Nancy, Denise, Chris and Tony.
Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Saturday December 28th at 8 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, 71 E Main Street Brockton at 9 am. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, 149 Dartmouth Street New Bedford. Visitation in Funeral Home December 28th from 4 - 8 pm.
