Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Lively, 86, beloved wife of the late Julian Ashton Lively, entered into rest on Sunday, December 23, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Pastor Steve Hartman officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Botsford Baptist Church Cemetery in Waynesboro, Georgia.
Mrs. Lively was born in Rome, Georgia to the late Robert Graves Winkle and Dealva Miller Winkle. She met her husband, Julian, and they were married in Ringgold, GA where they resided until moving to Augusta. Mrs. Lively was an active member of Lake Park Baptist Church for over 60 years. She was apart of the WMU and volunteered through the church organizing meals for the families of the burn victims at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center. Mrs. Lively worked along with her husband on the Georgia Baptist Association Disaster Relief Team and also organized quarterly meals and visits with the Georgia Baptist Developmentally Disabled Ministries. She also was on the Women’s Auxiliary Board at the Augusta Rescue Mission and was a longtime Poll Worker.
Mrs. Lively is survived by her four sons, Tony Lively (Betty), Mike Lively (Susan), Russell Lively (Tonya), and Doug Lively (Donna); two daughters, Jane Lively and Julie Lively Bedgood (Scott); sister, Shirley Winkle Dean (Gordon); grandchildren, Jada Lively Todd (William), Ashton Lively (Allison), Jenny Lively Blankenship (Brandon), Zack Lively (Amber), Andrew Lively (Lindsay), Robert Lively (Amanda), Cindy Lively McGee (Will), Alex Lively (Amanda), Will Lively (Rachel), Lizzie Lively Richardson (Scott), Taylor Lively (Cecilia), Ashlyn Bedgood, Caleb Lively, Kendall Lively, and Pierce Lively; and by her 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Abbi Lively; and by her sister, Robbie McKinney.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, December 27, 2018 from 6:30 until 8:30 PM.
