Jacqueline C. (Belanger) Lafrance, 87, of Berlin passed away at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin on Monday December 24, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born in Berlin on August 2, 1931, the daughter of the late Joseph A and Melvina (Bourque) Belanger and was a lifelong resident. Prior to her marriage, she was employed by F.W. Woolworth’s. Jacqueline was a member of St. Joseph Church, now Good Shepherd Parish. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and was a very good cook. She also volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop for many years.
Members of the family include her two sons Robert Lafrance and wife Paulette of Berlin, Ronald Lafrance and wife Mary of Hampstead; four daughters Elaine Gamache and husband Raymond of Berlin, Nancy Hoarn and husband Steven of Tampa, FL, Joanne Rano and husband Timothy of Rollinsford and Denise Lafrance and husband Erik Froburg of Nottingham; grandchildren: Brian Lafrance, Scott Lafrance, Elizabeth Henderson, David Gamache, Jonathan Gamache, Katherine Hoarn, Gregory Rano, Jeffrey Rano and Quinn Froburg; 7 great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lucien P. Lafrance, son Michael “Mickey” Lafrance, grandson Steven Hoarn and siblings Rita Rousseau, Pauline Duguay, Normand Belanger, Emile Belanger and Maurice Belanger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 29, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish with interment to follow at St. Kieran Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30, prior to the Mass at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Those who wish, donations may be made in Jacqueline’s memory to the Marie Riviere Food Pantry. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin and Gorham.
