Ruth Mary Bardsley, 85, of Londonderry, NH, died Sunday December 23, 2018, in Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, NH. She was born in Manchester, NH on October 5, 1933, a daughter of George and Evelyn (Hayward) Thibeault. Ruth grew up in Londonderry where her father built the original town hall, fire department and St. Jude Church. After meeting her husband, they moved to N. Andover, MA where they lived for about 45 years. She worked for Arlington Trust for 30 years; first as a teller and then worked her way up to being the first woman VP.
She is survived by daughter, Sandra Fisher of Londonderry, NH; son, Gary Bardsley of Sanbornton, NH; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and her sister, Doris Thibeault. Ruth is predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years, Edward Bardsley.
Following cremation there will be no services. The burial will be held privately at a later date in Ridgewood Cemetery, Salem St., N. Andover. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, MA/NH Chapter 309 Waverley Oaks Road Waltham, MA 02452.
