Joshua M. Noury, 36, of Pleasant View Avenue, Smithfield, died peacefully Thursday, December 20, 2018 at his home. He was the beloved son of Daniel A. and Elaine M. (Rattey) Noury.
Born in Attleboro, he had lived in Smithfield for most of his life. He was a graduate of UMass Dartmouth and had worked as a Civil Engineer. He was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins, the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He played as a goalie for the Smithfield High School and UMass Dartmouth hockey teams. One of his fondest memories was winning the state high school hockey championship. Josh had a heart of gold and brought a smile to those around him.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his brothers and sister: Jason Noury and his wife, Lynda of Coventry, CT, Matthew Noury and his wife, Marisa of Wells, ME, Caitlyn (Noury) Adler and her husband, Nicholas of Greenville, RI and 12 nieces and nephews who adored him: Dalton, Shirley, Camden, Olivia, Talia, Makayla, Sasha, Juliana, Abigail, Tobias, Aubrie, and Tristan. He will forever be remembered as the “Fun Uncle”.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday, December 28th at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Thursday 4-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
