Graveside funeral services for Donnie D. Handley, 66, of Ashburn, GA will be held at 11:00 AM, December 26, 2018 in the New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Handley passed away Saturday at his residence following a brief illness.
The son of the late Samuel Bailey and Jewell Nasworthy Handley, he was a welder for Gibbs Welding and was a member of the Baptist faith. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
A loving husband, father and grandfather he enjoyed fishing, working on his Toyota truck and loved building model cars. He was very faithful in reading his Bible daily.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Handley of Ashburn; his children, Timothy (Lori) Handley, Scotty Tripp, Melissa (Calvin) Mitchell, Angela (Matthew) Watts all of Ashburn and Dawn (Ryan) Rouse of Arabi. He is also survived by his sister, Annette Minshew of Fitzgerald and Mildred Crawford of Warner Robins; fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
