Jacqueline M. (Junkins) Turner, 86, of Hanson, passed away at the South Shore Hospital , on December 21st after a short illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Turner.
Known to all as Jackie, she was born in Boston, daughter of the late William and Mary (Foley) Junkins.
Jackie worked for the Weymouth School Department, serving lunches to her elementary pupils. She spent countless summers at Lake Ossippe in NH.
She was the devoted mother of Joanne Stoll and her husband George of Whitman, Janice O’Connor and her husband Bill, Judy Kelly and her husband Bob and Jayne Sayce and her husband Frank all of Hanson along with her beloved eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, her sister Laurie Prakarpas and brother Walter Junkins. She was pre deceased by her siblings Jimmy and Billy Junkins
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday December 26th from 9:00-10:30 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church, Hanson. Burial will follow in the Fern Hill Cemetery, Hanson.
