Hiram - John A. Ramsey, 54, of Hiram died at his home unexpectedly on December 18, 2018. He was born in Winchester, Mass. on April 9, 1964 a son of John L. and Judith E. (Blue) Ramsey. He was educated in Enfield, CT schools and was a graduate of A.I. Prince Technical High School in Hartford, CT.
John studied to be a diesel mechanic at Diesel Tech and worked for Ryder Integrated Logistics Trucking Co. for many years. He more recently worked at the Portland International Jetport, where he formed many treasured friendships. His hobbies included gunsmithing and bladesmithing. He enjoyed reading if the subject truly interested him and he also enjoyed cars and watching automotive shows on television. He was very well known for his many tattoos. John will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was precedeased by his father, John L. Ramsey. Surviving are his mother, Judith Ramsey of Hiram. Two sisters, Heidi Thibodeau and her husband Bruce, and Elisabeth Klingler and her husband Stephen. Two nieces, Amber Brass and Chloe Klingler, and a nephew, Kyle Thibodeau. He is also survived by cherished aunts and cousins.
John's Celebration of Life will be held at The Performing Arts Center, 8 Hancock Avenue, Hiram, Maine, on January 19th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. It will be held in the Community Room. Please feel free to bring your memories to share.
