Rosita Starr, 92, of Chester, NH, died Thursday December 20, 2018, surrounded by her loving family in her home. She was born in Vienna, Austria on November 4, 1926. She married Walter Kierkiewicz during WWII, moved to the United States and lived in Chelsea, Massachusetts where she started and raised her family. She loved to swim, to go to the beach, playing chinese checkers, playing her favorite card game 'Scat', doing crossword puzzles and watching her beloved Red Sox. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and an Oma to all.
She is survived by her daughter, Judith Doyle and Son-In-Law David Doyle of Chester, NH, her son, John Kierkiewicz and Daughter-in-Law Lisa Kierkiewicz of Honolulu, HI, her three step-children, Jack Starr, Jr., Lisa (Tarbox) Culver, and Gina (Tarbox) Novak; her five beloved grandchildren, Courtney, Christopher and Julia Doyle of Chester NH, and Ashley and Jasmine Kierkiewicz of Hilo, Hawaii, four step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Walter Kierkiewicz, two sons, James Kierkiewicz and Paul Kierkiewicz, and her husband John “Jack” Starr.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 4 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry.
