Eddie Emmett Duckworth, 60, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Monday, December 17, 2018, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Friday, at Big Creek Cemetery, in Irwin County, Georgia. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Duckworth was born November 8, 1958, in Worth County, Georgia, to the late Emmett Lounzer Duckworth & Vola Bell Duckworth Hind. He lived in the community all of his life and was a self-employed sheet-rock hanger and finisher. He loved his motorcycle and tools. Mr. Duckworth was of the Holiness faith.
He is survived by his two sons: Shawn Duckworth and Brian Duckworth, both of Plant City, Florida; a sister, Carlene Crider & Hubert of Elberton; nephews, James Duckworth and Johnny Duckworth, both of Tampa and Edward Lounzer Duckworth, Jr. of Sylvester. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Lounzer Duckworth, Sr.
