William Charles Richardson, 77, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Irwinville Primitive Baptist Church in Irwinville, Georgia, with the Elder Rick Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Paron Cemetery in Berrien County, Georgia. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Richardson was born May 28, 1941, in Berrien County, Georgia, to the late Andrew Chesley & Lillie Mae Hodges Richardson. He lived in the community all of his life. Mr. Richardson served his country honorably in the United State Marine Corps. He was a parts manager, a mechanic and a farmer. He loved working on guns and was a jack-of-all trades that could rig anything. Mr. Richardson was the youngest of seven siblings and was a member of the Irwinville Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Virginia Richardson of Irwin County; a son, Anthony “Tony” Charles Richardson of Titusville, Florida and daughter, Deanna “Dede” Lynn Schultz & Steve of Warner Robins; grandchildren: Dalton Charles Richardson & Breanna, Toni Richardson Smith & Ryan, Austin Lee Schultz and Brandon Charles Schultz and a sister, Ruby Leigh Lindsey of Plant City, Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Haywood Chesley Richardson and John Daniel Richardson and three sisters: Vida Mae Rice, Mary Ruth Barber and Nancy Jewel Egulf.
