Philip J. DiModica 62, of Bourne, died peacefully, at his home on Sunday December 16, 2018, following a long illness.
Born in Boston, September 24, 1956 a son of Antoinette “Toni” (Livoti) DiModica of Bourne and the late Angelo J. DiModica, he was raised and educated in Bourne and was a lifetime town resident.
Until becoming disabled, Philip worked at the then family owned Bourne Bridge Liquors.
Philip enjoyed designing and building mechanical things. He built sports cars, go-carts, dune and beach buggies and an airplane. He also enjoyed playing pool.
Survivors in addition to his mother, is his sister, Rosanne Woollam and her husband Jim of Pocasset, 2 nephews, Robert Woollam and his wife Kristen, Michael Woollam and his wife Wailea and 2 great nieces, Harper and Sophia Woollam.
Philip’s family would like to extend their appreciation to Philip’s many caregivers over the years, especially to Robin. Also to the hospice unit of the Cape Cod Visiting Nurse Association of Cape Cod, for their compassionate care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass Saturday Dec. 22, 2018 at 10AM at St. John the Evangelist Church 641 Shore Road, Pocasset. Private interment services will be held at a later time.
