Marjorie (Midge) Lescynski, 91, of Abington, passed away on December 17 in Abington, MA.
She will be remembered by all her family and friends as the kind and selfless person who always put others first.
Midge was born in Weymouth, MA on June 27, 1927. She graduated from Rockland High School. Her work life began as a switchboard operator for New England Telephone Company. Later, while raising her family, she put her sewing skill to work as a dress and gown creator. She then started a successful furniture upholstery business which continued for over forty years.
Her hobbies included baking pies, watching Nascar racing and the Patriots on TV but most of all, playing the slots in casinos in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
Midge is preceded in death by her loving husband Victor and her daughter Pamela (Paragona).
Midge is survived by daughter Paula (Davidson) of Abington and son Mark Lescynski of Hanson. Grand children include Holly (Paragona) Mesner, Mallory (Lescynski) Cordeiro, Mark Andy Lescynski, Nicole (Paragona) Holmes and Lee (Davidson) Boc. Midge also had five great grandchildren.
At Midges request, visitation will be held for family members only with burial to follow at St Patrick’s Cemetery in Rockland.
