Obituary

Santa C. Serrano, born March 1, 1932 in Orocovis, PR to her belated parents Bernardo Serrano & Anteria Rivera-Serrano. She was 1 of 18 children, of which 9 lived. She leaves behind her youngest living sister Margarita Torres (Residing in Florida) and her 5 surviving children out of 8 birthed, Iris N. Figueroa, Maritza Figueroa, William Collazo, Jr., Doris "Deedee" Collazo, and her youngest Jose L. Collazo. She was a grandmother of 18 Biological grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 36 great great grandchildren, 4 great great great grandchildren. She raised and loved many more as here own. She was a small woman of stature known for her huge fiesty personality and her firecracker wit was the spunk in every family function. Her kisses and squeezing of cheeks will be missed, as she lovingly and jokingly reminded every last one of us who her "favorites" were. She was known for telling it like it was, when she loved you, you knew it! Alternatively, if she didn't "care" for you, that would be known too! Our mother and grandmother will be tremendously missed. Our family won't be the same without her presence but we are most happy to have shared in moments good and bad with her! You will forever be in our hearts. Visiting hours at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Saturday December 22 from 5-8 PM.
