TIVERTON, RI… Jacqueline J. (Morrissette) Yokel, 86, of Tiverton passed away on December 11, 2018 at Hope Hospice in Providence, RI.
She was the loving wife of the late Armand L. Yokel.
Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Ovila and Yvonne (Watts) Morrissette. She had grown up in Fall River and lived in Dartmouth for over 50 years before moving to Tiverton 3 years ago.
Mrs. Yokel was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church in Dartmouth and had worked as a packer in various textile mills in the area prior to her retirement.
Survivors include her sons: Armand R. Yokel of New Bedford and Kenneth D. Yokel and his wife Joyce of Mattapoisett; her daughters: Cathy Garcia - Lemos and her husband Gerald of Dartmouth and Debra Lesieur and her husband Mark of Tiverton, RI; a sister: Theresa Campbell of Churchton, MD; her brother-in-law Richard Yokel and sister-in-law Rita; her grandchildren: Amanda, Crystal, Mark, Kenny, Alan & Benjamin; her great grandchildren: Nicholas, Eathon, Hannah,Maddison, Brayden, Benjamin, Jr and Brianna; several Nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Wilfred, Frederic, Raymond and Arthur Morrissette, and Rita Leverette.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at 8 AM from the South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Julie Billiart Church, Slocum Rd, Dartmouth, MA. Interment will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne MA. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 6:30 - 8:00 PM.
