William Cloyd "Bill" Hollars, 87, Anderson, went to be with the Lord, December 8, 2018.
He was born May 28, 1931 in Vine Ridge, Tennessee, the son of Shawn R. and Rosa D. (Daily) Hollars.
He worked as a utility man at Delco Remy Division of General Motors 42.6 years before retiring December 24, 1997.
He was a member of Valley Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Anderson.
Bill enjoyed gardening and visiting the sick. He loved watching sports and spending time with his family.
Left to mourn his passing include his wife of 58 years, Vivian (Coppinger) Hollars of Anderson whom he married October 1, 1960; two daughters, Tammy (Michael) Pollard and Patty (David) Stephens all of Chesterfield; three grandchildren, Brad (Jennifer) Stephens of Anderson; Ashley (Steven) Maudlin of Anderson; Scott Pollard of Alabama; five great grandchildren, Landen Stephens, Jackson Maudlin, Alyssa Stephens, Lincoln Maudlin and Rylee Ann Maudlin; three siblings, Dooley Hollars, Louise Smith and Agnes Powell; and special friends, Don and Pauline Beaty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, David A. Hollars, grandson, Jason Pollard; three sisters and two brothers.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Carroll Cullipher of East 38th Street Free Will Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Bronnenberg Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
