Phyllis A. Richards, 93, of Berlin, NH, passed away on Thursday evening December 6, 2018 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. She was born in Gorham, NH on March 21, 1925 the daughter of the late Lewis and Bertha (Sharpe) Blanchard and was a lifelong resident of the Berlin – Gorham area. Prior to her retirement, Phyllis had been employed as a secretary for the Brown Company and later for her husband’s contracting business. She was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, the Androscoggin Valley Country Club and the Androscoggin Valley Hospital Auxiliary.
Members of the family include her sons James Richards and his wife Janet of Windermere, Florida and David Richards of Berlin, NH; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence G. Richards, who died on May 31, 2018.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 11, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH. Interment will follow in the Russian City Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
