Rockland – Barbara J. (Pratt) Libby 88, formerly of Whitman, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday December 4 after a brief period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald E. Libby.
Born in Quincy, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Belfour) Pratt.
Barbara treasured anything to do with nature; especially the times spent camping and canoeing, and had also enjoyed floral arranging. She truly loved riding motorcycles, both with her late husband Don and on her own, as member of a ladies riding group.
She will be remembered for her unwavering belief in “Native American” values.
She is survived by her children Stephen D. Libby and his wife Stephanie, Donna M. Carpenter and her husband Donald all of Whitman and Sandra J. Smith of Plymouth, as well as eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Bruce A. Libby.
