Marion Greene, 78, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Terrell Roberts officiating. Mr. Greene will be laid to rest at Salem Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Greene’s family and friends will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
Born July 5, 1940 in Worth County, Mr. Greene was the son of the late William Henry Greene and Eloyce Byrd Greene. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Barbara McClendon. He was a minister and a self-employed carpenter.
Mr. Greene is survived by his wife, Vernie Berney Greene of Tifton; three daughters, Bonnie Espejo, Connie Partin and Rhonda Bowling; three brothers, Glenn Green, Max Green and Rodney Green; three sisters, Martine Hill, Linda Stinchcomb and Diane Reade; nine grandchildren, Summer Deutsh, Amber Lipps, Nicholas Partin, Joey Slayton III, Joshua Espejo, Tim Bowling, Jaimie Partin, Brooke Partin and Amanda Bowling; and nine great-grandchildren.
