Geraldine King, 89, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Life Care Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. King was born February 10, 1929, in Florida, to the late Charles & Ruby Anderson Jackson. She was a former resident of Moultrie, Georgia and moved to Fitzgerald, Georgia in 1996. Mrs. King was owner and operator of a personnel business and worked with the American Red Cross serving as a chairperson. She was President for the Pink Ladies at one time. Mrs. King enjoyed fishing and cooking and loved her family. She was a member of the Church of Christ and attended Callie Garbutt Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue McDearmid & Ken of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Kim & Donnie Chambless of Atlanta, Lena McDearmid of Atlanta and Cissy & Vince Kerns of Gainesville; great-grandchildren: Lance Duston, Emily Duston and Kindall Bryant and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. King, a son, Joseph King and two sisters: Beatrice Gay and Viola Jordan.
