Margaret E. (Cottam) Gorman 81, of Medway, died peacefully, Friday November 30, 2018, surrounded by her family, following an illness.
Born June 28, 1937 in Somerville, a daughter of the late Alfred W. and Dorothy E. (Stone) Cottam, she was a former resident of Franklin, before moving to Medway many years ago.
She was raised and educated in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School. For many years Margaret worked as an aide for the Wrentham State School. She also worked as a waitress at the former Village Inn and Tony’s Place in Medway.
Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family, playing the daily number, bingo, baking, cooking and traveling. She was devoted to her family.
She is survived by her children, Catherine “Cathie” D Craig and her husband Thomas of Oklahoma, Clarice A. Gorman of Whitinsville, Alfred W. Gorman and his wife Marie of Missouri and Helen P. Tilton and her husband Paul of Franklin, 2 sisters, Marlene Rogers of Florida and Hazel Evans of Somerville. She was the former wife of the late James J. Gorman.
She was the mother of the late Nadine L. Griffin and sister of the late Clarice Papp & Annette O’Donnell.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren & 20 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday Dec. 5th, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Jude Church 86 Main St. Norfolk at 10AM.
Interment will follow at Union Street Cemetery, Franklin.
