Helen “El” (DeSalvo) Lucontoni passed away on November 27, 2018. She was 96 years old.
Helen was born and raised in Woburn and lived there until she was 18 years old and has been a resident of Malden where she has lived for over 50 years. Helen was born to the late Salvatore and Rose (Marascio) DeSalvo and was one of 12 children.
Helen was the beloved wife of the late Armand Lucontoni. She was the loving mother of Rosemarie Albino of FL and her late husband Paul, and Lisa Lucontoni of Malden. Helen was the dear sister of Rose Ventresca of Woburn and the late Bessie Saro, Susan Barbaro, Vera Galimi, Viola Tancredi, Robert, Christopher, James, Paul and Joseph DeSalvo. She was the Sister in-law of Fern DeSalvo of Woburn, Donna DeSalvo of OH, and Shirley DeSalvo of NH. Helen was the cherished grandmother of Christine Saro and her husband Steven of Westford, and Paula Barry and her husband Daniel of Weymouth, and great grandmother of Kelsie, Harrison, and Ben Saro, and Lila, Ella, John, Madi, and Cece Barry. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A Funeral service will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday December 3rd at 12:00pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00am-12:00pm prior to the service.
Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
