Thomas Grages, age 57 of Brockton died Sunday November 25, 2018 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was the son of the late Leo and Dorothy (Chisholm) Grages. Thomas is survived by his sister Paula Grages of Manchester, NH and his brother Paul Grages of Londonderry, NH. He also leaves his dear friends and staff of Growthways, Inc and Road to Responsibility with whom he enjoyed spending time.
Thomas was a loving, gentle man. Music was his favorite hobby as well as dancing. Thomas enjoyed attending “Sing, Explore and Create” in Rockland with housemates and friends where they could make music together. He loved the music of 60s and 70s as well as Chicago and The Beatles. Thomas especially liked the drums and enjoyed playing the piano with staff.
He also enjoyed being outside, going to the park and community activities such as his regular trips to the library, going out to eat and going to Executive Cuts for his bi-monthly haircuts. Thomas was fun loving and had a nice sense of humor, laughing when he knew he had pulled something over on you. He had a beautiful smile which would shine when he heard voices of his favorite people. Those who knew him well will also tell you he had a stubborn streak, letting you know when he was not happy with what you were asking of him.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St (Rte. 123), Brockton on Monday, December 3, 2018 11am – 12pm. Following visitation, everyone is invited back to Thomas’ home in Brockton.
