Louise A. DeClemente, 88

Dateline: Raynham, MA

Louise A. (Scarpellini) DeClemente, age 88, of Raynham, formerly of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, in the presence of her adoring family on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the Life Care Center in Raynham. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl V. DeClemente, to whom she was wed for fifty-six years at the time of his death on September 11, 2006.

Born in Mansfield, MA on April 23, 1930, she was a loving daughter of the late Ermeto A. and Marietta (Panichi) Scarpellini.

Louise grew up and was educated in Mansfield and was the valedictorian of her graduating class at Mansfield High School. She had made her home in Raynham for the past six years and was a former lifelong resident of Mansfield.

Prior to retiring, Mrs. DeClemente worked for twenty years at the Mansfield Cooperative Bank. She began her banking career as a teller and at the time of her retirement, had risen to the position of bank vice-president When younger, Louise worked at the former DeClemente’s Clothing Store, a longtime family owned and operated business in downtown Mansfield.

A communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Louise was a member and former president of the Catholic Women’s Club. Her family was the essence of her life, especially the memories created at the family beach home at Swifts Beach in Wareham. Louise also loved gardening, traveling, cooking and occasional trips to area casinos.

She was the devoted mother of Maria L. Emery and her husband James of Raynham and the late Michael C. DeClemente. She was the cherished grandmother of Justin Alexander, Jessica Burt, Andrew Alexander, Lisa Emery and Cory Emery, and the great grandmother of Christopher White, Taylor White, Hunter Burt, Isabella Alexander and Roselyn Louise Alexander. She was the dear sister of the late Jazziano Scarpellini, Gino Scarpellini, Alvidio Scarpellini, Viola Genesi and Ida Grover. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will begin on Tuesday, December 4th at 10:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 11:00 A.M. in Saint. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 3rd from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
