MCHUGH, Joan (June 7, 1932-November 27, 2018) of Dedham formerly of Watertown, died peacefully in her home in Dedham surrounded by her loving family. Joan is survived by her 6 children Joan McHugh of Grafton, Suzanne Aiken of Wakefield, Joseph A. McHugh III and spouse Lorie Erece McHugh of Niceville, FL, Kathleen Klein of Newport, RI, Sharon McHugh of Galway, Ireland, and Eileen McHugh Becker and spouse William J. Becker of Westerly, RI. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased in death by her husband Dr. Joseph A. McHugh, Lt. Col. USAF, her sister Ann Donegan Davis, and her brother The Honorable Chief Justice Joseph P. Warner.
Joan attended Sacred Heart Elementary School, was the valedictorian at Matignon High School class of 1950, and earned her B.A. in Business from Boston College class of 1981 and a Degree in French from UMass Boston class of 1989 CUM LAUDE.
Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Thursday, Nov. 29 from 4-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home Friday, Nov. 30 at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 9am. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joan’s life.
