Beloved husband of the late Anne (Samourian). Loving father of William J. O'Neil and his wife Kathleen of Dorchester and Barbara Ann and her husband Richard Surabian of Stoneham. Brother of the late Madeline Rogers. Devoted grandfather of William J. O'Neil, Jr. and his wife Leona of Stoughton and Heather A. Surabian of Stoneham. Cherished great grandfather of Alexandra L. O'Neil of Stoughton.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Wednesday at 9 AM.
Funeral Mass in St. Ann's Church, 251 Neponset Ave., Dorchester at 10 AM.
Visiting hours Tuesday 4- 8 PM.
Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

Mr. O'Neil was a 32 year Boston Police Officer, retiring in 1979. He was a Past President of the Boston Police Relief Association and a member of the Emerald Society. John was also a member of both McKeon and Doyle Posts.
Mr. O'Neil is a WWII Veteran who served in the United States Army.
