Rockwell, Betty-Jean (Cooper) of Wellesley, November 22, 2018, formerly of Springfield. Beloved wife of the late David W. Rockwell and the late Frederick R. Lofgren. Loving mother of Frederick R. Lofgren Jr. and his wife Robin of Harwich and Nancy E. Williams of Wellesley. Loving grandmother of Elizabeth, Christine, Inger, Kimberly, Nadia. Also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
Betty-Jean was a graduate of Technical High School Class of 1938, she was employed by Mass Mutual Life Insurance Co. and the Arthur Murray Dance Studios. At the onset of WWII she volunteered with the Red Cross. She was retired secretary for 25 years at the Wellesley Village Congregational Church. Betty-Jean volunteered at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital and Wellesley Schools. Past President of the Wellesley Round Table Garden Club.
Memorial Service in the Wellesley Village Congregational Church, 2 Central St. Wellesley on Saturday, December 1, at 2:30pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Private interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
