Mary Ann Hebert
1961-2018
Mary Ann Hebert (pronounced "a bear") passed away on November 12th, 2018 at Brigham and Woman's Hospital in Boston due to injuries sustained on November 8th from an early morning fire at her apartment in Amherst. She was born on July 22nd, 1961 to Rene Hebert and Beverly Millgate. Maryanne, as she preferred to be called, was the youngest of three and the baby of the family.
Maryanne excelled at sales due to her charm and guile. She loved animals and rescued them when she could and was also known for gifting many holiday turkeys to neighbors who could not afford them. She wrote poetry, sang, and played guitar.
She is survived by her mother Beverly Millgate, her sisters Kayla Mitchell and Carol Hebert, her nephews Jim Hebert and Seth Mandeville, and a grand-nephew, Alex Hebert. She was predeceased by her two children Nickolas Matte who died in 2017 and her infant son Alexander Hebert, her father Rene Hebert, her nephew Jesse Mandeville, and her long time companion Donald Urquhart who died in May.
