Mazzone, LCDR Nancy Rosemarie (Ret), 75, of Orlando, Fl. died peacefully on September 30, 2018. Predeceased by her parents Eva and Anthony Mazzone of Needham, MA, and Celebration Fl, as well as, her brother Andrew B. Mazzone of New York City.
Survived by sisters Ellen Mazzone Eberly of Canton, MA, and Toni Jane Gillis of Needham and her husband Dr. Richard Gillis. Beloved aunt of Karen Mazzone; Dina Mazzone Segal; Dan J. Eberly; Lt. Douglas A. Eberly; Richard C. Gillis, Jr.; Nancy Gillis Houston; and their spouses. Great aunt of Justin and Alex Segal, Marcus and Violet Eberly; Reagan, Ellie, and Brecken Eberly; Colin and Sawyer Gillis; and Ryan Houston.
Nancy was a graduate of Needham High School and always considered Needham her hometown. She was a graduate of Mt. Auburn School Nursing in Cambridge, MA and the University of Maryland. Nancy proudly served as an officer of the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps. She was stationed in San Diego, CA; Memphis, TN; Annapolis and Bethesda, MD; Groton, CT; Orlando, FL; as well as Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; and Adak, Alaska. Burial and services were private.
