Thomas D. Pacheco, 87, of Vernon, CT, formerly of New Bedford passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Manchester Memorial Hospital, Manchester, CT.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Manuel Pacheco, Jr. and the late Angela (Sylvia) Pacheco, he had lived in Westport and New Bedford for many years. A proud military veteran of the Korean War and a Purple Heart Recipient he served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Past Master of the Noquochoke Lodge A.F. & A.M. Freemasonry. An avid golfer, he also played baseball for the Cape Cod League. Mr. Pacheco loved his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by a son: Mark T. Pacheco and his wife Monica S. of Vernon, CT; 2 grandchildren: Eric J. Pacheco and Brian W. Pacheco; and many nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late David, Arnold, Richard and Manuel Pacheco.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Potter Funeral Home at 12:30 PM.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM prior to the service with a Masonic Service at 11 AM.
Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
