CHICOPEE~ Yamara Cynthia Barbara Garcia, 51, of the Willimansett section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Monday, November 5, 2018. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on March 13, 1967, a beloved daughter of the late Jesus R. and Renee (Iturralde) Garcia. She was raised in Chicopee, attended Chicopee schools and had lived in Chicopee for most of her life. She was a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Chicopee. She enjoyed riding motorcycles. Her greatest joy in life was being a loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren and spending time with her many friends. She leaves her three loving children, Nicholas A. “Nick” Garcia and his companion, Allison Dandy, of Chicopee, Robert S. Garcia of Springfield and Alyssa R. Garcia of Chicopee; her five cherished grandchildren, Giana, Dominic, Sarina, Brayden and Mariana; her dear stepmother, Patricia Garcia of Westfield; her dear sister, Miriam Hamel of Chicopee; her two dear brothers, Jesus Garcia and his wife, Kimberly, of Louisiana and Ricardo Garcia and his wife, Margit, of Germany; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and many friends. She will also be sadly missed by her loving canine companion, her dog, Macy Mae. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her dear brother-in-law, Raoul O. Hamel who was Called Home on September 5, 2017. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. in Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. before the Mass.
