Mr. Gerard A. Rossi, 87 of Medford passed away on Sunday, November 18th at Melrose Wakefield hospital. Born in Trevico, Italy and moved to America as a young boy. He had been an area resident most of his life. Mr. Rossi worked as a machinist for many years at Boston Gear Works in Quincy, MA. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, enjoyed gardening and cooking, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family. Mr. Rossi is pre-deceased by his parents Giacinto and Nicolina Rossi and his brother Anthony Rossi. He is survived by his loving wife Anna (DeVito) Rossi of Everett, two sons; Stephen J. Rossi and his wife Eve of Billerica, MA, Gerard A. Rossi of East Weymouth, MA, two grandchildren Nicholas and Gina Rossi, one sister Adelaide Raso, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, November 23rd from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Beales, Geake, Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Ave., Medford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 24th at St. Joseph Church at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
