Wilhelmina "Mina" R. (Rodrigues) Gonsalves-Senna, age 86 of New Bedford passed away on Monday November 19th, 2018, surrounded by her family.
Born in Brava, Cabo Verde; She was the daughter of the late Jose and Laura (Pina) Rodrigues; she came to the United States in 1946 and lived in New Bedford for most of her life. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Gonsalves and of the late Joseph Senna.
Mrs. Senna was formerly employed by Ocean Spray but primarily was a homemaker.
She will be missed and loved forever, by all of her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter Laura Gonsalves of Georgia, her sons, Joseph "Joey" Gonsalves, Kim A. Gonsalves and companion Adelina Depina, of New Bedford, Lawrence "Larry" Gonsalves and his wife Gail of Westport, David J. Gonsalves and his companion Quennie Baguio of Fall River, John E. Gonsalves and his companion Susan Ross of New Bedford and Daniel D. Gonsalves and his wife Janis of Hudson, N.H.; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Madeline "Neca" Rodrigues; God-Daughter Diana Almeida; and many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved and proudly spoke of frequently.
She was the sister of the late Joao Rodrigues, Julio Rodrigues, Jose J. Rodrigues and Maria J. Rodrigues.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 27th at 12:30 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Her family will receive guests on Tuesday morning from 11 - 12:30 PM prior to her service. Burial will be private.
