Obituary

Verlon Richard Hensley, 87, of Anderson, died November 15, 2018, at St. Vincent Anderson after a sudden illness.
He was born, April 22, 1931, in Tennessee to Mene Hensley and Arthey Shelton. He graduated from White Rock High School. He served in the United States Army.
He lived a life of service; service to his family, friends, country, church, and to his beloved Lord.
He worked production more than 30 years at Delco Remy division of General Motors.
He is survived by his two sons, Tony (Elaine) Hensley, Steve (Jodha) Hensley; eight grandchildren, Byron, Jason, Nathan, Ian, Stevie, Geneva, Mitchell and Tina; two great grandchildren, Taylor and Regan; three great great-grandchildren, Joe, Aurora and Lila; seven siblings, Hazel, Lewis, Carla, Karen, Janna, Robin and Gene; special cousin, Clellon and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patricia Ann "Patty" Hensley in 2000; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anna and Herman Paschal and many brothers and sisters.
Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Joe Roysden officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
