Barbara A. (Shepard) Miranda, 75, of New Bedford died Saturday, November 17, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of the late Hilda (Terceiro) Margetta, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and attending family cookouts and gatherings. She also enjoyed bird watching and playing cards with her friends.
She is survived by three sons, Steven Miranda and his wife Kelly, Kevin Miranda, and Scott Miranda and his wife Jill; her daughter, Christine Methia; five grandchildren, Courtney, Colby, and Owen Miranda, David Miranda, Jr., and Ashley Gonsalves.
She was predeceased by her two sons, David and Keith Miranda.
Her visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 20th from 5-8 PM with her Funeral Service at 7:30PM, during the visiting hours, in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will be private. For directions and guestbook, visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
