Thomas J. Donahue

HUDSON, NH - Thomas Joseph Donahue, age 75 a former resident of Tewksbury, died peacefully at Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, in the loving care of his family and staff, on Thursday November 15th.

He was the beloved husband of Kathleen E. (Ciampa) Donahue, with whom he had celebrated a forty-ninth wedding anniversary this past February 22.

He was born in Woburn on May 11, 1943, one of five children of the late John Howard and Florence (Glennon) Donahue, and raised in Wilmington.

He enlisted into the U.S. Army and served in the Panama Canal Zone, during the Vietnam War era. After his honorable discharge, he began a forty-year career in construction, beginning as a laborer, and retiring as a Construction Superintendent.

He and Kathleen raised their family in Tewksbury, and retired to Hudson in 2012.
Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, William T. Donahue and his wife Jodi (Kosar) of Venice, FL, Mark D. Donahue and his wife Kaitlyn (Walmsley) of Chelmsford, and Kevin M. Donahue of Seattle, WA; six grandchildren, Hannah and her fiancé, Martin Szauer, Joseph, Michael, Catherine, and Ali Donahue, and Corbin Morgan; a brother J. Howard Donahue of Tewksbury; two sisters, Carol Saxon of Peabody, and Dolly Backmon and her husband Carl of Ct; and a sister in law, Claire Donahue, many nieces and nephews.

Tom was predeceased by a brother Edward ”Ted” Donahue.

Visiting hours Sunday, November 18th from 10am until noon in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950.
