New Bedford – Gladys M. (Doyle) Kelley, 82, of Westport, died Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Sacred Heart Home after a long illness. She was the widow of Richard A. Kelley.
She was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Robert and Anne (O’Brien) Doyle, and had resided in Westport for most of her life. Mrs. Kelley was a graduate of New Bedford High School. She was the owner of the former Red Feather Nursery School of Westport and prior to her retirement in 2001 she worked at Westport Apothecary for 35 years. She enjoyed cooking and reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 sons: Michael Kelley and his wife Maryjane of Berkley, MA and Steven Kelley and his wife Christine of Pembroke, NH; a brother: Desmond Doyle of New Bedford; 2 sisters: Elizabeth d’Avignon of South Dartmouth and Anne Owen of South Dartmouth; 3 grandchildren: Melissa Berkov, Timothy Kelley and David Kelley; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Dorothy Doyle.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, December 19, 2005 at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Sunday 4 – 7 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
