Phyllis (Enos) Stewart, 80, of New Bedford died November 13, 2018 at home after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Gomes) Enos, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a member of the Union Baptist Church.
Mrs. Stewart was formerly employed by Acushnet Company for many years until her retirement.
She enjoyed volunteering as a foster grandparent at Early Learning School and playing Bingo.
Survivors include 4 sons, Brian Mixon of New Bedford, Johnny Stewart, Jr. and his wife Rose-Marie of Plainville, Ralph Green and his wife Naomi of Maryland and John Green and his wife Sharon of Boston; 3 daughters, Christina Mixon and Robin Mixon, both of New Bedford and Annette Adams of Austin, TX; a sister, Christina Anderson of Lithonia, GA; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Armond Enos, Louis Enos and Antone Enos.
Her visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 16th from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
