Obituary

Giuseppe "Joe" Martiniello, of Medford, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, Tuesday, November 13th. He was 88. Born and raised in Mirabella Ecalno, Avellino, Italy, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Raffaella (Pelegrino) Martiniello.

Joe was an expert when it came to gardening. A green thumb came naturally. His yard always looked beautiful. He was extremely dedicated to his garden. When Joe was not in his garden, he was making homemade wine, filling bottles and preparing them for their family gatherings, he took pride in each and every batch. An avid animal lover, Joe had a special spot in his heart for all types of animals. Joe enjoyed working for the Bicknell and Fuller Company.

Giuseppe was the beloved husband of Angelina (Zampetti) Martiniello, they were married for 58 loving years. He was the devoted father of Theresa Miller and her husband Jack, Diane Trischitta and her companion Robert Hayes, Giovanni "John" Martiniello and his wife AnneMarie, and Raffaelina "Ruff" Martiniello and her companion Robert Armstrong. Loving nonno of Joseph, Cara, Melissa, John, Domenic and Gianna. Caring father In-law of John Trischitta. Dear brother of Carmen Martiniello and his late wife Adelina, Ernesto Martiniello and his late wife Grazia, Chiara Rossetti and her late husband John, Ciriaco Martiniello and his wife Philomena, and Mario Martiniello and his wife Yolanda. Dearest friend of Gennaro Fiorentino, Filomeno Accetta, Elio Pepe Sr., and Louis Stifano, Sr.. Joe also leaves behind his best buddy, and beloved cat Dewey. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.

His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday, November 19th at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 3 - 7 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
