LIMERICK- Adam Emmons, 45, fought a long, hard battle with illness, which ended peacefully on November 9th, 2018.
Adam was compassionate, charismatic and lovable - a good guy with a big heart. Most of his adult life he was self-employed as a carpenter, building and remodeling homes. In his youth he was a great baseball player with a mean side-arm pitch. He was competitive, especially with his brother – and many enjoyed their stories and playful banter. He was always the life of the party, and you could count on him to make people laugh. He was fun, and quick-witted. He was a loyal friend, loved rock music and his electric guitar. He loved to play golf whenever the chance presented itself and to go fishing. But most of all he loved his family, and his ultimate pride and joy in life was being a father to two beautiful girls. No matter where his life took him – or how long it might be since you’d see him – you could count on him sharing a photo or story about one or both of them. They truly were his greatest source of joy.
He is survived by his daughter and her family – Cassandra & Chris Daggett, grandchildren Cooper & Clara, daughter Addisyn Emmons, his parents Debra & David Raychard, his brother and his family – Corey & Shelley Emmons, niece & nephew Emily & Zach, His step-brother David, David’s ex-Wife Erin, nieces & nephew McKayla, Hunter and Conner. Along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his father Jerry W. Emmons.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Gosnell House in Scarborough for their loving care, and the many friends and family who shared time and love in his last week of life. We are truly grateful.
He will be sadly missed by many.
There will be a service for friends and family at Life Church in Gorham, Maine – 8 Elkins Road - on Friday, November 16th at 3:00pm
