Mary Ophelia Nicholas Madden was born on February 16, 1927 and passed away on December 13, 2005 at Conroe Regional Medical Center Hospital in Conroe, TX.
The visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Friday, December 16, 2005, from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at Union West Baptist Church in Lafayette County on Saturday, December 17, 2005, at 10:00 am. The committal will be held in Browning Cemetery in Lafayette County with Dean Varner, Clay Webb, Gilbert Varner, Ronnie Nicholas, Ross Sansom, Wayne Sansom, Tony Hardy, and Billie Nicholas serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Ray Nicholas, Roger Nicholas, Robert Nicholas, Jim Gholson, and Garland Gholson.
Mrs. Madden was a retired photographer and a member of the Union West Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Madden; and her parents Charlie Wesley Nicholas and Eutha Celeste Sansom Nicholas.
She is survived by two daughters, Beth and Ruth Madden both of Conroe, TX; one sister, Celeste Mattlage of Crawford, TX; and one brother, Reverend Wesley L. Nicholas of Oxford, MS.
