Richard Reid of Kissimmee, Florida formerly of Ardsley, NY died on September 14, 2018 at the Oseola Regional Medical Center. He was 59. Mr. Reid worked as a Lieutenant of Security at Sea World, Orlando. Previously he worked as a Police Officer for the NYPD and the S.E. Philadelphia Transit Authority as an Inspector. He was born November 30, 1958 in Ardsley, NY to Alexander and Jeanne Wood Reid. Richard was a 1977 graduate of Ardsley High School. Past member of the Ardsley Fire Dept., Engine Co. #1 serving as President and a Life member of the Westchester County Volunteer Fireman’s Association. He is survived by two bothers Alexander (Joann) of Somers and Robert Reid of Elmsford. Two aunts Aleta Reid of Dobbs Ferry and Allison Romanelli of Hopedale,Ma., and one nephew Steven Reid. Memorial Service on Thursday, November 15th, 10:00 am at the Ardsley United Methodist Church, 525 Ashford Ave. Interment following at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
