Agnes A. Dalton (Reilly), age 83, of Tewksbury, MA, formerly of Winchester and Woburn, passed away peacefully on November 9th, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Agnes was born in Woburn, MA, one of 7 children to Elmer and Jessie (MacDonald) Reilly of Woburn.
Agnes attended St. Charles School in Woburn, and graduated with the class of 1952. She enthusiastically attended her 40th and 50th class reunions at St. Charles, as she had maintained lifelong friendships with her classmates.
Agnes moved to Winchester where she raised her four children. She worked hard, took classes at night and worked as an office manager with DEKR Corporation. She then went to work for Amphenol PCD for 17 years, where she retired at the age of 77 in 2012.
Agnes was actively involved in the Tewksbury community. She volunteered at the Tewksbury Community Food Pantry for over 10 years and participated in the Tewksbury seniors work program. In her spare time, Agnes enjoyed traveling with her sisters, Joan and Ellie, aka “The Golden Girls”, to Las Vegas, Hawaii and California. Agnes also enjoyed being with her family, and she had many wonderful times with her grandchildren as they grew into young adults. They will miss her chocolate chip cookies and brownies at family gatherings.
Agnes was the loving mother of David and his wife Maria Dalton of Reading, MA, Brenda and her husband Chris Vollmar of Tewksbury, MA; Jane Bedard of Concord, NH and Julie Dalton of Stoneham, MA. She was also the devoted grandmother to Allison, Matthew and Jennifer Vollmar, Eric, Mark and Caroline Dalton and Marissa Dalton. She is further survived by her wonderful and dear sisters, Joan Freeley of Woburn, MA, Eleanor and her husband George Duncan of Mission Viejo, CA, her 3 brothers, Jack and his wife Sis Reilly of Woburn, MA, James and his wife Barbara of Boise, MD, and Bill Reilly of Colorado. Agnes was pre-deceased by her parents, and a sister Phyllis Mason.
Services and burial are private.
