Obituary

Marian P. Morrow, 64, of Woonsocket died Thursday November 8, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence from injuries sustained in an accident earlier in the week.
Born in Boston and raised in the Roxbury and Dorchester area she was a daughter of the late John and Josephine (Hogan) Morrow. Mary relocated from Beantown and called Woonsocket home for the 35 years.
Mary was the former wife and lifelong friend of her one and only true love Robert Nutt. A piece of paper saying that you were either married or divorced meant nothing to Mary, the only law she recognized was the Law of Love. The passion and excitement of younger years gave way to a bond of affection spanning the decades and outlasting many fads, but unfortunately not the current presidential administration.
By the way call her Mary (please God not “Marian”… what was mom thinking?) she was a lady who lived life on her own terms. A child of the ‘60s Mary was a tie-dye wearing Pepsi-drinking proud holdover from another era.
The message of Peace, Love and Happiness was the central theme of Mary’s life. Making the world a better place by being and sharing happiness and smiles was Mary’s mission. Although her untimely passing is indeed a cause for sadness, Mary would want everyone to remember that there is always sunshine after the rain.
Mary was a member of the 420 Club and saw the benefits of using cannabis long before the current debates as to its merits. If there is pot in heaven (and there better be !!!) Mary is cool with that.
Mary is survived by her children Robert “J.R.” Richards of Woonsocket, Tammy Weeden and her husband David of CA, Sharon Donlevy and her husband Max of Oakland and her step-children whom she loved as her own Christine and Allen Nutt both of Woonsocket and Stephen Nutt of AZ. She was the sister of John Morrow of NH, Eugene Morrow of Attleboro, Barbara Higgins of Attleboro, Irene Lawler of Woonsocket and the late Arthur Morrow, Elizabeth “Betty” King and Kathleen Morrow. She was the coolest grandmother that her 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren could have ever asked for! She was the grandmother of the late Zoe Richards, Jacinda Maisonet, Selina Medina, Todd Teachout, Jr and Emmett Nutt. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, outlaws, cousins etc. and everyone she met along the road of life.
Visiting hours for Mary will be Thursday from 4-8 pm with a service at 7 pm in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be private.
